President Patsy Paton welcomed a very interesting and varied panel of local speakers and a good turnout from neighbouring Rural institutes amongst the audience.
Chairman and local historian, David Orr introduced the panel, comprising Kirriemuir solicitor, teacher and gallery owner, Susie Clark, Forfar farmer's wife and Angus SWRI Federation Chair, Carol Steel, classicist, sailor and chicken keeper, Rev Bob Harley and Kirkinch based journalist and bon viveur, Brian Townsend.
Margaret Jack thanked the panel for an entertaining evening which took in a comprehensive cross section of life and experience.
A defibrillator has been purchased and the Community Council is to meet the cost of a box for it. Training in the use of the defibrillator is to be arranged. A silent auction is to be held to raise funds for a defibrillator for Clova.

Next meeting
will be held on 2nd April; film evening will be held on 11th April and members are asked to bring a plate of food for supper.
